Sandy launched her banking career while still in college at the former First National Bank of Midwest City, now FNB MWC. She worked across operations and accounting, even mastering proof on an old NCR 450 machine. Experiencing bank operations before today’s automation gave her a rare, ground up understanding of how a bank truly functions.
Drawn to the analytical side of the business, Sandy discovered a passion for accounting and the daily problem solving it demanded. She went on to earn her CPA, deepening her expertise and strengthening her commitment to the banking industry.
Sandy later became one of the founding members of First Liberty Bank in Oklahoma City. For twenty years, she has served the bank in multiple capacities—first as its original CFO, and as a Director following her retirement from day to day leadership.
In 2012, Governor Mary Fallin appointed Sandy to the Oklahoma State Banking Board, where she served two full terms through 2024. She was recently inducted into the Oklahoma Bankers Hall of Fame—an honor she considers both humbling and deeply meaningful.
Over the last 12–15 years, Sandy has developed a strong focus on Policies and Procedures. As the regulatory landscape has evolved, she has become a champion for helping banks adopt practical, risk based decision making. Her decades of experience give her a unique ability to modernize policies, strengthen risk management, and enhance board and management oversight.
Sandy brings a thoughtful, contemporary approach to every engagement. Let Sandy and Benchmark show you how to strengthen your bank—and enjoy the process of achieving your goals.
